Road Trip Hue to Hoi An | What to Expect

Looking for cool activities for your road trip to Hoi An more interesting? We know every company out there offers the same things: visiting Elephant Spring, Hai Van Pass and Marble Mountain. Well, you can choose that trail and go for the cheapest price you can find or you can read out ideas below to choose for yourself a safe and unique drive to Hoi An Ancient Town.

Our driver basically takes you to a… secret waterfall, which is a only short hour drive from Hue city. This waterfall is quietly and beautifully nestled in the wild and is a part of the Anamite Range. Imagine you have a private emerald-colored pool…just for yourself and your partner! On way back to the highway, you will notice a large Buddha statue in the heart of a beautiful water area, magically stunning!

After the secret waterfall (of which we would like to keep the name), our driver will be happily taking you to the next amazing landscape of Hue, the Lap An Lagoon. While everyone just drives by this beautiful lagoon in such a hurry, we would strongly recommend you to do a half an hour detour around Lap An Lagoon and stop for stunning photos without tourists in front of your camera.

Now that you have entered into a buzzing tourist area, Hai Van Pass. You can decide to stop for a photo opportunity or we can go straight to Danang for a wonderful lunch, The My Quang, one of the signature dish of Danang and Hoi An area that you can not miss! And we will have lunch in our favorite restaurant! Go local, it is the best!

You can decide to visit Marble Mountain after lunch. Instead of climbing on the most touristic Mountain, Thuy Son, we strongly recommend you to visit the Kim Son, also known as Metal Mountain, which is a part of The Five Marble Mountains in this area. Kim Son is quietly standing with other brother mountains but it has a secretive grottos with stunning natural Buddha Statue and is said to be a large pilgrimage area among Vietnamese. There is a Buddha Park nearby which is worth checking out as well.

You reach your hotel in Danang or Hoi An and will immediately be captivated by its charming riverside and wonderfully preserved buildings. Get ready for a romantic dinner with your partner in the eveing with ranges of restaurants and food you can choose.
