The walking food tour combines irresistable food tasting with the stories of Chi Lang that only local knows. As the most popular activities in Hue, this tour is a fun way to explore Hue just like a local.

We stroll the snoozing route in Hue in the evening, you will meet and engage with restaurant and food shop owners, sample their generation-old recipes, and visit fascinating local attractions hidden away from major tourist paths.

What to Expect

Hue offers you an interesting walk through the ancient town of Hue City.  En route, a variety of street food will allure you with yummy taste and you can’t stand sniffling when strolling around this culinary heaven.

Our tentative tour guide will pịck you up at the front gate of Dong Ba market. There is a lot of gastronomic food along the front gate which will surprise you with the eating style of Vietnamese people. These dishes range from the popular to the exotic ones in Vietnam. We will stop to enjoy a special dish – Nem Lui (Hue Pork Skewer wrapped in rice paper dipped in peanut sesame sauce) which attracts a lot of visitors for the first time trying.

The the journey of food continues with the route of ancient town Chi Lang Gia Hoi. Not only you can hear from our guide the interesting stories of Hue history through Chi Lang Gia hOi but you also try many fantastic  dishes.

Banh Canh Cua ( Crab Local Noodles) is the first stop in this area. You can find this noodle is completely different from popular others in Vietnam like Pho or Bun Bo Hue. Its noodle is made from rice which is cooked with crab and served with topping.

Banh My Dong Ba – The three-generation Banh Mi recipe is not only a simple Banh Mi. The owner  has a special recipe for a Banh Mi and its fabulous stories of three-generation made Banh My quite special from another.

If you visit Hue and you want to be a local expert, don’t forget to try Hen Xuc Banh Trang (Tiny clams savored with crunchy sesame rice crackers). Tiny claim is popular in Hue and locals make many yummy recipes from them. It is a favorite ingredients of Hue people. Wjth Hen Xuc Banh Trang, there is no confusion that you love it for the first time.

Bun Bo Hue is definitely a must try when visiting Hue. You might have heard Bun Bo Hue somewhere when traveling to Vietnam. The noodle soup with beef shanks, pig knuckles, pog loaves is the best for your day in Hue.

After these must-try, you must be bloating. So the dessert Che Sua ( Milk Che Dessert) is a sweet dessert that can’t be missed out by its flavor for the end of the journey.  The mixture of cooked milk, beans, coconut milk and so on will hold your heart that you never want to leave Hue.
