“Decent-looking Outfits” Policy when visiting Hue Monuments Complex, Vietnam

A new policy made by the Hue Monuments Conservation Department in Thua Thien Hue Province stated that visitors are not allowed to enter any of Hue Monuments with shorts, tank top or mini-skirts regardless weather type. This policy is said to raise the awareness from visitors about Cultural Preservation in countries like Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia and strictly applied on the 1 September 2017.
There have been visitor instruction signs displayed in front of Hue Imperial City and Thien Mu pagoda for visitors. Mr. Phan Thanh Hai, director of Hue Monuments Conservation Department in Thua Thien Hue province said, this policy is to create a more cultural-friendly environment that respects Vietnam valuable tradition.
You might wonder if you wear shorts above your knees or tank top and ready to go in any Hue Monuments, the guards would not allow you in unless you go back to change to a more decent outfit. So prepare yourselves to look good when you visit Hue city!
When is best to visit Hue Imperial City?
The Imperial City of Hue is a large construction that included Hue Citadel, Hue Imperial City and The Forbidden City.
